Anadarko Petroleum Corp., up $2.95 to $56.49

Oil companies climbed as the price of oil broke out of a four-day slide.

Colgate-Palmolive Co., up 62 cents to $74.89

Household goods makers traded higher after a tepid jobs report prompted investors to shift money into less volatile stocks.

Lululemon Athletica Inc., down $8.09 to $68.57

The athletic apparel company reported disappointing sales and gave a weak forecast for the rest of the year.

VeriFone Systems Inc., down $3.29 to $16.81

The company, which makes terminals for electronic payments, announced disappointing sales and cut its revenue forecast for the year.

Biogen Inc., up $7.56 to $313.59

The company said an early Alzheimer's disease treatment will get a faster review from the Food and Drug Administration.

Carnival Corp., down $2.31 to $46.39

A Morgan Stanley analyst downgraded the cruise line, saying demand seems to have weakened and bookings have slowed.

Yum Brands Inc., up 50 cents to $91.26

The parent of KFC and Pizza Hut sold two stakes in its Chinese division for $460 million.

Smith & Wesson Holding Corp., down $1.89 to $27.69

The firearms maker reported strong quarterly results and raised its guidance, but gave back some of its recent gains.
