Chelsea has re-signed Brazil defender David Luiz after two years at Paris Saint-Germain.
Luiz arrived from Paris on transfer deadline day to sign a three-year contract after completing a medical examination and agreeing personal terms.
British media reports put the fee at 32 million pounds ($42 million) for the 29-year-old defender, who Chelsea sold to PSG for 50 million euros (then $57 million) ahead of its 2014-15 title-winning season.
Luiz says he is "delighted to return to Chelsea" and wants "to help the team and Antonio Conte achieve a lot of success."

Espanyol has signed goalkeeper Diego Lopez and defender Diego Rivas on loan deals, while transferring defender Alvaro Gonzalez to Villarreal.
Lopez, a former Real Madrid keeper, joins the Spanish club from AC Milan hours after Espanyol loaned keeper Pau Lopez to Tottenham.
The deal for Rivas, a Mexico international, with FC Porto includes a purchase option for Espanyol.
Gonzalez signed a four-year contract with Villarreal after a transfer for an undisclosed sum.

Jack Wilshere has left Arsenal for a season-long loan at Bournemouth in a bid to revive an injury-stalled career.
The 24-year-old midfielder had also been considering an offer from Crystal Palace after agreeing with Arsenal that he would benefit from playing regular first-team football.
Although Wilshere went to the European Championship in June, he was left out of new England manager Sam Allardyce's first squad.
Wilshere last completed 90 minutes of club football in September 2014. Back then, Bournemouth wasn't in the Premier League. The south-coast club survived its first-ever season in the topflight but is winless in the opening three matches of its second campaign.

Liverpool has offloaded Mario Balotelli to French club Nice, two years after signing the troubled striker.
The 26-year-old Italian managed only four goals in 28 appearances for Liverpool and spent last season on loan at AC Milan.
Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere says "we hope that Nice, in a family atmosphere, he will find the pleasure of the game."
Rivere added on the Nice website that "nothing will be easy but with the desire and hopefully the support of all our fans we will allow him to flourish and use his talent to help the team."
Balotelli was signed by then-Liverpool manager Brenan Rodgers late in the 2014 summer transfer window for 16 million pounds (then $27 million) as a replacement for Luis Suarez. But the gamble never paid off, with the former Manchester City player better known for his controversies than his goals failing to make an impact on the pitch at Liverpool.

Tottenham has signed goalkeeper Pau Lopez on loan from Spanish club Espanyol.
The 21-year-old Lopez was Espanyol's starting keeper last season. He will join former Espanyol coach Mauricio Pochettino at the Premier League club.
Spurs' established number one, France international Hugo Lloris, has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, allowing Michel Vorm a run in the side.

Chelsea says it has struck a deal with PSG on transfer deadline day to re-sign the Brazil defender, who now has to complete a medical examination and agree personal terms.
Chelsea sold the 29-year-old Luiz for 50 million euros (then $57 million) ahead of its 2014-15 title-winning season.

Juan Cuadrado has returned to Juventus on a three-year loan deal from Chelsea.
Cuadrado spent last season on loan at Juventus, helping the Serie A side to a fifth successive league title.
Juventus says it will pay Chelsea 5 million euros a season for the winger.
It will also have the option to make the deal permanent for 25 million euros - and will be obliged to if "determined sporting targets" are met.

Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong has joined Turkish club Galatasaray, leaving the Los Angeles Galaxy after making only 18 appearances.
Galatasaray says the 31-year-old De Jong will earn at least 5 million euros ($6 million) during his two-year contract. De Jong will also receive a bonus of 250,000 euros bonus if he plays 25 matches, and 5,000 euros for every goal he scores in the Turkish league and European competitions.
De Jong moved to Major League Soccer in February after spending four seasons at AC Milan. In April, he was suspended for three games and fined for a rough tackle.

Spanish club Valencia has signed defender Eliaquim Mangala on loan from Manchester City.
Mangala is the fourth player City has loaned out on Monday, as new coach Pep Guardiola cleans house at the Premier League club on the final day of the transfer market.

Fiorentina says it has sold left back Marcos Alonso to English club Chelsea.
The Spanish defender returns to England, having previously had spells at Bolton and Sunderland. He will provide competition at left back for Cesar Azpilicueta, and would also be a good option as a left wing back if Chelsea manager Antonio Conte decides to use a three-man defense.
No fee has been disclosed. British media have reported Alonso will cost Chelsea 23 million pounds ($30.2 million).

Spanish forward Alberto Bueno has rejoined his former coach at Granada on a loan from FC Porto.
Bueno had his best seasons under Paco Jemez, who took over Granada this season.
The 28-year-old Bueno scored 17 goals with Rayo Vallecano in the 2014-15 season before transferring to Porto, where he struggled to find his place.

French club Lille has signed attacking midfielder Naim Sliti on loan until the end of the season from Red Star.
The 24-year-old Tunisia international scored 12 league goals in the past two seasons for Red Star, which plays in France's second division, and Lille has an option to buy him next June.
Lille recently sold attacking midfielder Sofiane Boufal to Premier League club Southampton.

Sparta Prague says defender Jakub Brabec has agreed to move to Belgian club Genk.
The Czech club says the 24-year-old Brabec signed a three-year contract. Financial details have not been given.
Brabec has played one international game for the Czech Republic.

Add Samir Nasri to the exodus of players at Manchester City.
The French midfielder has joined Spanish club Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season, with his chance of regular first-team action under new City coach Pep Guardiola looking bleak.
Guardiola said Nasri returned to preseason training "overweight" and only played him once in City's first five games of the season, as a second-half substitute against West Ham on Sunday.
Nasri has been at City since 2011, when he joined from Arsenal.
Goalkeeper Joe Hart and striker Wilfried Bony have also been loaned out by City on the final day of Europe's transfer window.

Manchester City's clear-out after an offseason of heavy spending has seen striker Wilfried Bony join Joe Hart in going out on loan from the English club.
Bony has joined Premier League rival Stoke for the remainder of the season, soon after Hart completed his loan move to Torino.
Bony hasn't played for City this season under new coach Pep Guardiola. The Ivory Coast international joined in January 2015 for a reported fee of 28 million pounds ($36 million) from Swansea, but never established himself as a regular.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has completed a loan move to Torino on Wednesday, signing a one-year contract with the Serie A club.
The 29-year-old England goalkeeper has lost his starting spot at City since Pep Guardiola arrived as coach during the offseason, falling to third choice behind new signing Claudio Bravo and Willy Caballero.
Hart says "all of a sudden my career reached a turning point, I interpreted it as a sign of fate. And so I had to do something."
No financial details have been given but reports say City will pay 60 percent of Hart's salary.
