Hanover Park to commemorate 9/11 with 5K, ceremony
The Village of Hanover Park will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks with a memorial ceremony, 5K run and family day on Sept. 10.
The memorial ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in front of village hall, 2121 W Lake St.
The 5K run and walk kicks off at 11 a.m. from Greenbrook Elementary School, 5208 Arlington Circle. A family celebration at Greenbrook will begin at 11:30 a.m.
First responders and military members can participate in the 5K for free.
