St. Charles North 1, Lake Zurich 0: At the Barrington tournament, Ryan Olson provided the game's only goal in the second half while David Gorniak had the assist in a win for the North Stars (3-0). Goalie Pierre Ricossa needed 6 saves to preserve the shutout.
St. Charles East 1, Buffalo Grove 0: The Saints improved to 3-0-1 thanks to Justin Stepien's goal 20 seconds in during a New Trier Invite win. Keepers Kevin Cook (1 save) and Steven Owens (1 save) effectively split time in net for the shutout.
