First day of school in Arlington Heights District 25

Monday was the first day of school for thousands of students in Arlington Heights Elementary District 25.

At Patton Elementary School, kids dropped off by their parents were greeted outside by teachers and Principal Eric Larson, who took selfies with the students and helped get them excited for a new school year.

Faculty at two District 25 schools - Ivy Hill and Olive-Mary Stitt - welcomed students back to larger buildings, after $18 million in expansion projects were completed this summer to accommodate the district's growing enrollment.
