Crystal Lake Central 1, Grant 0: The Tigers netted the game's only goal in the second half to hand the Bulldogs a season-opening defeat.
"Well-fought game on both sides," Grant coach Bryan Mark said.
Prairie Ridge 1, Grayslake North 0: On Tuesday night, the Knights surrendered a first-half goal and lost their season-opening match as part of their own invite.
"Pretty good effort from two teams in their first games of the season," Grayslake North coach Adam DeCaluwe said. "Both teams showed signs of clicking as well as the need to continue to come together as a team."
