Streamwood man killed in motorcycle crash

A Streamwood motorcyclist was killed Tuesday after colliding with an SUV on the village's south side.

Ryan Hail, 28, was pronounced dead at about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday at the scene of the crash on the 400 block of Lacy Avenue, according to police.

Police said a preliminary investigation shows that Hail's Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2004 Nissan SUV were both traveling east on Lacy Avenue when the motorcycle hit the SUV. Hail was thrown from the motorcycle, police said.

The 42-year-old woman driving the SUV was not seriously injured, police said. She was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Streamwood police and the Serious Traffic Crash Reconstruction team continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
