2 companies announce $90M Indiana expansion plans

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Two companies have announced plans to spend at least $90 million each to expand their Indiana operations.

Aisin USA Manufacturing said Tuesday it expected to add up to 100 jobs at its 1,700-worker Seymour auto parts plant by the end of 2018. The Japanese-owned manufacturer says it will renovate and buy new equipment to accommodate design changes for the door frame components, seating and trim molding it provides for Honda, Chevrolet and Toyota.

The other business expansion is by Massachusetts-based Ken's Foods in Lebanon. The company plans a manufacturing and distribution facility for its salad dressings and marinades.

Officials say the Lebanon facility will be the company's first in the Midwest and could have up to 150 workers by the end of 2018.
