Fall fest in Hawthorn Woods
The annual Fall Family Fun Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Hawthorn Woods Aquatic Center, 94 Midlothian Road. The free community event includes crafts, mini train rides and a variety of activities for children and families. Hawthorn Woods police and public works, the Countryside fire district and A-Express Towing will have vehicles available for kids to explore. Staff will be on hand to socialize and answer residents' questions. Visit www.vhw.org
