Sign up for Hoffman Estates Citizen Fire Academy

The 17th Hoffman Estates Citizen Fire Academy is an opportunity for residents of Hoffman Estates to experience and learn about the inner workings of their fire department.

Not only will you get the chance to participate in a variety of activities often performed by firefighters but you will also learn about home fire safety, CPR and the history of the Hoffman Estates Fire Department in a fun, relaxed environment.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and reside, attend school or work in Hoffman Estates. Classes will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings at Fire Station 24, located at 5775 Beacon Pointe Drive. The academy starts on Sept. 7 and ends on Nov. 9. Class size is limited, and spots fill up quickly.

If you are ready to begin your firefighting adventure, contact Lt. Anthony Butler by phone at (847) 843-4825, or by email at anthony.butler@hoffmanestates.org.
