JourneyCare Country Gala Raises Over $400,000

To honor the legacies of the three organizations that came together in June 2015 to form JourneyCare, the region's largest provider of palliative, supportive and end-of-life care, the agency is hosting two elegant black tie Galas this year: the Country Gala, which was held on June 20 in Barrington Hills, and the Town Gala, which will be held on October 8 at Venue One in Chicago.

More than $400,000 was raised at the Country Gala, held on the Flannery estate in Barrington Hills. Over 350 guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres poolside, a three-course dinner in the main tent, a live and reverse auction and dancing to the sounds of the High Society Orchestra.

The event celebrated the Founders and Luminaries of the three legacy organizations whose commitment to a vision of bringing exceptional end-of-life care and support to their communities paved the way for JourneyCare.

JourneyCare provides care to nearly 3,000 patients and their families each day, in 10 counties throughout the Chicago area and northern Illinois. Funds raised through these Galas ensure that JourneyCare keeps its promise to the community of never turning anyone away because of inability to pay.
