Fine Art Festival at Oakbrook Center Celebrates 54th Year

Located just 15 miles outside the heart of Chicago, the Fine Art Festival at Oakbrook Center continues its long standing tradition of showcasing fine art, featuring the original works of 100 juried artists. Breaking from its traditional September date, the Fine Art Festival begins Saturday, August 20th and extends through Sunday, August 21st at the spectacular Oakbrook Center.

The Fine Art Festival at Oakbrook Center runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. This free event showcases a variety of art mediums including ceramics, furniture, glass, jewelry, paintings, photography, fashion and more! Open to the public, this free weekend event offers complimentary parking to accommodate large crowds. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to see the masters at work with interactive art demonstrations during the festival all weekend long.

"The Fine Art Festival at Oakbrook Center exemplifies the community's passion for art," says Amy Amdur, founder of Amdur Productions. "This annual art tradition has been going strong for 53 years and we look forward to carrying on the tradition for Oakbrook."

This year, Amdur Productions, producers of the Fine Art Festival at Oakbrook Center, launched a new charity initiative, The Green Ribbon Project. This project ties each festival with a charity of Amdur's choosing. Participating artists at the Festival agree to place a green ribbon on one of their art pieces and once that piece is sold, the artist will give 10% of the proceeds to the Special Olympics, the dedicated charity for the Fine Art Festival at Oakbrook Center.
