American Academy of Pediatrics gets $800,000 federal grant

Elk Grove Village-based American Academy of Pediatrics has received $805,000 in federal funding to help improve awareness and access to care for children with epilepsy in America. The funding is to be used to help provide children and youth with epilepsy sustainable, coordinated and comprehensive quality care. The funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services was announced by U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth.
