Beware the example of Venezuela's left

I first saw an article/video on Townhall.com entitled "Contrast: How Republicans Respond to a Pro-Hillary Activist vs. How Dems Respond to a Pro-Trump Activist" by Cortney O'Brien.

The Republicans' reaction to a Hillary supporter at their convention was benign. The Democrats' response at their convention to a Trump supporter was swearing and mob-style hatred on the verge of violence. This experiment tells me that the Republicans are more tolerant and open-minded and that the Democrats are just a bunch of emotional activists hating any other opinion than their own.

But then I saw another Townhall article/video entitled "What Venezuelans Make An Hour Under Socialism Is Appalling-And There's Another Issue That Strikes Close To Home" by Matt Vespa. In this article, they tell how the socialist utopia of Venezuela is failing.

What went wrong? In the video, Toro (a Venezuelan) said that since the "left-wingers" came to power, they divided the people into groups. "They fed the country hatred, so they separated into two types of people. We stopped being one group of people - and we became either red or blue," he said.

To me, this sounds like America. From these two articles, I have to ask where "the left" is taking us? Beware America, unless we stop placing people into groups (we are all Americans) and treat everyone with the same respect, we will end up like Venezuela where only hunger rules.
