Illinois State Fair cancels more events due to poor weather

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - The Illinois State Fair has canceled truck and tractor pull events and moved the Grandstand performance due to rainy weather.

State Fair organizers say Monday evening's Grandstand performance with New Odyssey will still start at 7:30 p.m. but will be moved from the Grandstand to the Lincoln Stage. The Lincoln Stage has a covering for performers and covered seating for the audience. State fair officials say it will now be a free show.

The state fair closed early on Friday night due to flooding that largely affected a campground area. The Grandstand concert Friday evening was canceled. The fair reopened on time on Saturday.
