Missner completes Gourmet Gorilla headquarters

DES PLAINES - The Missner Group announced it has completed a 23,000-square-foot office and kitchen build-out for Gourmet Gorilla's new headquarters in Chicago.

Gourmet Gorilla provides early childhood and area public school systems schools with healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks delivered daily.

The Chicago-based healthy school caterer selected The Missner Group to build-out the space of their new headquarters at 1200 W. Cermak Road in Chicago. The new space now features a gourmet kitchen area with 38-feet of new kitchen hoods, walk-in coolers and freezers, fryers, cooktops and ovens, as well as a research and development kitchen suitable for presentations. The Missner Group also constructed offices with a loft-style open floor plan complete with conference rooms, break rooms and employee locker rooms.

Their work with many companies in this sector, coupled with their understanding of the food service regulatory agencies, made The Missner Group an easy choice, according to top executives at Gourmet Gorilla.

Bob Nomellini, chief operating officer for The Missner Group, led the project team which included Kent Nepras as project manager and Len Corso as project superintendent. AESA Associates provided the architectural services.
