Police say 16-year-old dead after Indianapolis shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis police are investigating the shooting death of a 16-year-old whose body was found at a gas station.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers were called to the gas station after 10 p.m. on Saturday.

They found the teen lying on the ground. The teen was identified as Theothus Carter. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say detectives believe the victim was a passenger in a vehicle at the gas station when he was shot by an unknown suspect. The victim was found just outside the passenger side of the vehicle.
