Row home construction starts in Woodridge

Construction started this week on Uptown at Seven Bridges in Woodridge, an 80-unit row home development by Pulte Homes Corp.

The development, located at Mulligan Drive and Main Street, is the final phase of the Main Street at Seven Bridges Development, designed as an "urban village" with a mix of retail, office, restaurants and residential uses.

Representatives from Pulte Homes, the Village of Woodridge, and the Seven Bridges business community broke ground on the project the morning of Aug. 11th. "The groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for the development, which was originally envisioned to advance village goals to diversify the tax base, provide a variety of quality housing options, and improve the quality of life for Woodridge residents," said Woodridge Mayor Gina Cunningham.

Uptown at Seven Bridges will offer three-story row homes with a mix of three and four-bedroom units ranging in size from 1,700 to 2,200 square feet. Starting in the low $300s, the community is expected to open for sales in early 2017.

As a condition of the approval, Pulte Homes will contribute approximately $100,000 to enhance the overall Seven Bridges business community with pedestrian amenities, signage, marketing and infrastructure improvements to support special events.

In conjunction with this development, preliminary approvals have been granted for up to three commercial buildings along Main Street to be developed by Gateway Commercial Partners. Once all commercial development is completed, there will be approximately 465,000 square feet of office, retail, recreation, and restaurant development in Seven Bridges.
