Palatine Park District presents Family Movie Night

Palatine Park District presents the annual Free Family Movie Night Thursday, Aug. 11, beginning at dusk, approximately 8:15 p.m. The movie "Zootopia" will be shown at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine.

Admission is free and coolers, blankets, and chairs are allowed. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy free samples and activities with event sponsors Babybel and Signature Popcorn.

From the largest elephant to the smallest shrew, the city of Zootopia is a mammal metropolis where various animals live and thrive.

When Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) becomes the first rabbit to join the police force, she quickly learns how tough it is to enforce the law. Determined to prove herself, Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case. Unfortunately, that means working with Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), a wily fox who makes her job even harder.

For weather-related information on Aug. 11, call (847) 705-5123. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be rescheduled to Aug. 18.
