Lake County law enforcement saves 100th life with naloxone

Lake County law enforcement officials Tuesday reported their 100th save from opioid overdose using the opioid antidote naloxone since December 2014, police said.

The 100th save was made Sunday.

"One-hundred saves is an amazing accomplishment, and I couldn't be more proud of the law-enforcement approach throughout Lake County," said Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran.

The Lake County sheriff's office saved 21 of the 100 lives.
