Palatine Township encourages nonprofits to apply for funding

Nonprofit organizations that serve Palatine Township residents are invited to apply for funding opportunities through the Township Human Needs Committee. The deadline to submit a completed application is Friday, Sept. 23.

There are two separate funding request forms for nonprofits that can be downloaded on the Palatine Township website - one is for requests of $15,000 and below, and the second is for requests of more than $15,000. Request form examples for both funding opportunities are also available on the website for reference.

"Palatine Township's motto is 'People Serving People,' and that translates to providing assistance to organizations that serve our residents," said Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson. "Through this funding opportunity program, we are able to reach more of our residents beyond the services we provide here at the Township Center."

Completed application forms can be emailed to Anna Chychula, township administrative assistant, at achychula@PalatineTownship.com or mailed, attention to: Anna Chychula, Palatine Township, 721 S. Quentin Road, Palatine, IL 60067.

Once applications are received, they will be reviewed by the Palatine Township Human Needs Committee. Time slots for agency presentations will be scheduled to determine if funding will be awarded and, if so, at what level.

In addition to the requirement that agency programs serve Palatine Township residents, organizations that request funds must be able to measure their impact, and provide documented results regarding the populations that they serve.
