Morton Arboretum offers Wine and Art Walk

Strolling the pathway surrounding the Morton Arboretum's Meadow Lake, visitors are met with a beautiful border of tall native grasses, colorful wildflowers and magnificent trees.

And from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and 28, there will be an added bonus: nature-inspired art at the outdoor museum at 4100 Route 53, Lisle.

A new event free with admission, the Wine and Art Walk at the arboretum will feature photography, wood-turning, jewelry, paintings, glass pieces, and more from nearly 20 Midwest artists. Visitors can shop one-of-a-kind pieces available during this juried art show while enjoying a selection of wines and other beverages available for purchase.

"We're excited to host this new event which showcases both our breathtaking tree-lined landscapes and exceptional, handcrafted art that draws inspiration from the beauty of nature," said Jacque Fucilla, manager of The Arboretum Store. "We invite people to browse the art, enjoy a glass of wine and soak in summer before it's gone."
