Car show at CLC supports scholarships

Cool cars of various types will be on display at the College of Lake County from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. The public is invited to check them out at the Techs of Tomorrow Scholarship Car Show in Parking Lots 1 and 3 at the college, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake.

The car registration fee is $12, which will support scholarships for CLC's future automotive collision repair and automotive technicians. Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon, and visitor voting is from noon to 1:30 p.m. Awards are given to the top 10 vehicles. There will be door prizes, food and beverages available.

The show is being sponsored by CLC's Automotive Collision Repair and Automotive Technology programs and Mis-Shifts Car Club.
