Sign up now for Citizens' Police Academy

The Pingree Grove Police Department is now taking applications for the upcoming Citizens' Police Academy.

If you haven't attended one yet, here is your chance. The academy is interesting, informative and lots of fun.

This program is open to anyone in the community of Pingree Grove, 18 or older. There is limited seating available, and preference will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Citizens' Police Academy is a crime prevention/informational program designed to meet the interests of citizens in the community. The curriculum covers a wide variety of subjects, including crime prevention, safety and other informative topics. It is intended to give the attendee an overview of how police departments accomplish policing the community.

This year's academy will be held from 7 to 9:15 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 24 to Nov. 9, at the Pingree Grove Police Department, 1 Police Plaza. Applications are available at the police department.
