Choral-Aires Chorus Hosts Inaugural Golf Outing

Elmhurst's Choral-Aires Chorus, one of the top-ranked Sweet Adelines barbershop choruses in the world, hosts its first ever Golf Outing on Saturday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Village Links in Glen Ellyn. The event benefits the Chorus along with the students of The People's Music School in Chicago.

The outing offers golfers the opportunity to play one of the Chicago area's most popular golf courses, followed by dinner and drawings for prizes, including a week in sunny Cabo San Lucas. Entrepreneurs can promote their business to over 200 expected guests through a variety of sponsorship opportunities.

The Choral-Aires Chorus is the musical home to more than 100 women from throughout northern Illinois as well as Michigan and Wisconsin. The chorus competes internationally and also performs at community, private and athletic events, including a recent appearance at Arlington Park.

Partnering with The People's Music School on this event is important to chorus members. "We want to help ensure that every child has the chance for a lifelong love of music, just like each one of us," commented Bonnie Fedyski, co-director of the chorus.

The People's Music School delivers tuition-free music education to students who otherwise would not be able to benefit from musical training. It is the only completely tuition-free music school in Chicago that is wholly devoted to increasing access to the benefits of music; independent of skill or ability to pay.
