Fiesta Friday in Waukegan
The Waukegan Park District will host a new event, Fiesta Friday, on Friday, Aug. 5, in Belvidere Park from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Participants will be able to dance, sing karaoke, play games, win prizes, compete in a hot pepper eating contest, create a variety of crafts and even enjoy a live band at this free event. A food vendor will be on-site and food is available for purchase, including tacos and other goodies. Grub and Go will present a salsa making demonstration with tastings. In addition to live music by Contrabanda and dance showcase, families will be able to show off their own dance skills and participate in a short dance lesson. The park is at 412 S. Lewis Ave., Waukegan.
