Antioch Girl Scout with top honor

A high school student from Antioch was one of 70 recipients of Girl Scouts of the USA's highest national honor. Katrina Seabright received her Girl Scout Gold Award in after completing a complex series of requirements in June, including the implementation of a significant community service project, officials said. Seabright, a member of Girl Scout Troop 40932, initiated improvements at the Open Arms Mission's children's area in Antioch. Seabright built shelves, painted pictures and ran a toy drive to collect and donate toys to the area.
