Meet Campton Hills police at Night Out event

The 10th annual National Night Out in Campton Hills will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, on School Street between Route 64 and LaFox Road.

National Night Out, in its 33rd year, is a national event which has proved to be an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable program to promote community spirit and police-community partnership.

More than 25 organizations and local businesses will provide safety, health, environmental and community education. for children and families.

Animals will be on-site. There will be demonstrations, too. Free snacks and healthy food samples will be available.

"This is a great opportunity for the Campton Hills community to meet members of the Campton Hills Police Department as well as the local businesses and organizations who support us and serve the community," said Chief Dan Hoffman.
