Backpacks, Blessings and Barbecue Sunday, August 14!

Immanuel Lutheran Church and School

Immanuel Lutheran Church will be hosting the popular "Backpacks, Blessings and Barbecue" event on Sunday, August 14! The day will include community worship with Immanuel's Praise band, a "special blessing," and a barbecue for all. Students and educators are encouraged to bring along their backpacks, totes, or briefcases to be blessed. K-9 Comfort Dogs from Lutheran Church Charities will be available for petting and hugs!

Outdoor, casual, worship featuring Immanuel's praise band and the blessing of the backpacks begins at 10:45 a.m. and the barbecue runs from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

This event is open to the entire community and all ages!

The worship and fun will take place once again at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine
