DimoStrong Jam returns Aug. 13

The second annual Dimostrong Jam will be 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Side Street Studio Arts, 15 Ziegler Court in Elgin. There is a $3 suggested donation at the door.

DimoStrong is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Elgin raising awareness of autoimmune disease.

The DimoStrong Jam will have raffles (Cubs, Bears and Sox tickets and more), food, break dancing, music performances from five artists (Watch City, Microphone Misfitz, Highest Low, and Illanoize and Moz Def), a silent art auction, vintage clothing for sale and more.

Established in memory of Anthony "Dimo" Dimiceli and the inspiring strength he showed fighting the disease.

The goals are to help other families dealing with an undiagnosed autoimmune disease and fund research initiatives that work toward finding a cure.
