Trinity Lutheran to host Oktoberfest Aug. 26-28
Trinity Lutheran Church will host an early Oktoberfest from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27; and 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at the church, 11008 N. Church St., off the Huntley Town Square.
Join the pig roast from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, as they honor area first responders.
Huntley Fire Department will have fire equipment on display from noon to 2 p.m.
Stop by the craft show on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The "Biergarten," open all weekend, will offer six different Oktoberfest beers, wine and Sprechers root beer will also be available.
Many food items will be available including authentic German fare from Cafe 20, Culver's frozen custard, Italian Beef from Goodfellas and various goodies from Morkes Chocolates.
Kids activities will be offered from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Enjoy live music all weekend, featuring the Phenix German Band. Join them Sunday at 10 a.m. for the outdoor service.
They are looking for craft/home business vendors, with free space available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
