Cherryman to relocate regional center from Indiana to Aurora

A Los Angeles-based office furniture manufacturer said it will move its Midwest distribution center from Indiana to Aurora.

Cherryman Industries, which makes high-end, environmentally friendly office furniture, recently signed a lease for a 160,000-square-foot facility at 2413 Prospect Drive in Aurora, according to Chicago-based commercial real estate advisory firm Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

The company hired Newmark Grubb Knight Frank to find a new regional distribution center that would improve efficiencies and be closer to Chicago, where furniture sales have been growing, according to a release. The current facility is located in the Indianapolis area.

"Ultimately, this facility in Aurora was selected due to its move-in ready condition as well as its strategic location. It offers immediate interstate access to I-88 which is great for their regional distribution purposes," said NGKF Senior Managing Director Adam Marshall.

The company will move into the new facility this summer.

Marshall and Mark Deady, director, represented Cherryman Industries in locating the new site, as well as assisting in the firm's financial analysis, negotiations and related matters. Marshall and Deady represented Cherryman Industries and David Prell of CBRE represented the building owner, DCT Industrial.
