Americans too focused on winning arguments
Between the Second and 10th amendments of the US Constitution, isn't there a less divisive solution to the issue of guns?
By rendering that which is of Caesar unto Caesar and that which is of God unto God, isn't there a less divisive solution to treating all couples equally under the law without the federal government violating the Constitution's First Amendment by prohibiting the free exercise of the Christian faith?
By rendering that which is of Caesar unto Caesar and that which is of God unto God isn't there a less divisive solution to the abortion issue?
The answer to all three questions is yes.
These answers won't end divisions, only reduce them. However, the viciously divided American populace is too focused on winning and shoving foul things down each other's throats.
If we remain in our present emotional state, this fall, we will have to turn our clocks back to 1861.
