Mookie Betts leaves game with sore right knee

BOSTON (AP) - Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts left Friday night's game against the Minnesota Twins in the fifth inning with soreness in his right knee.

Betts, who led off the game with a home run for the second consecutive night, was replaced in right field by Michael Martinez in the top of the fifth. The Red Sox announced a few minutes later that Betts had left the game and was considered day-to-day.

Betts, an All-Star Game starter, leads the Red Sox with 127 hits and is second on the club with 20 home runs and 63 RBIs.
