BACOA BASH set for Friday, Sept. 9

The Barrington Area Council on Aging will host its annual fundraiser featuring dinner, entertainment and live and silent auctions Friday, Sept. 9, at the Makray Memorial Golf Club, 1010 Northwest Hwy., Barrington.

With a Motown theme, attendees will enjoy the music of such '60s legends as the Supremes, Temptations and more.

Proceeds will benefit BACOA programs, including:

• Respite Care for caregivers

• Memory Cafe, which provides critical socialization for the memory-challenged and their caregivers

• Information and referral resources for seniors

• Support and education groups

• Programs and information on healthy aging

• Supportive services for family caregivers

• Meals with Wheels

• Social and recreational programs for seniors
