Lions add depth, signing former Broncos DE Quanterus Smith

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - The Detroit Lions have signed defensive end Quanterus Smith.

The Lions announced the move Wednesday, a little more than a week before the team reports for training camp.

Smith played in 15 games during the 2014 season for the Denver Broncos and made 11 tackles. He was on practice squads last season with the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Denver drafted him from Western Kentucky in the fifth round three years ago.
