Viking ship replica coming to Chicago after all

The crew of the replica Viking ship Draken Harald HÃ¥rfagre from Norway — temporarily stuck in Bay City, Michigan by its need for a U.S.-required navigational pilot — will set sail for Chicago's Tall Ships exhibition at Navy Pier after all. Federal mental health bill shifts focus to preventing tragedy

U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy of Pennsylvania and 10th District Rep. Bob Dold of Kenilworth hosted a summit Tuesday at the Lake County Health Department to promote a bill that ensures “treatment before tragedy” and puts $150 million toward national mental health efforts. Trial begins for McHenry man accused of killing girlfriend

The trial for William J. Ross, accused of killing his girlfriend and entombing her decaying body in his McHenry home in 2011, began yesterday, with prosecutors citing Ross's criminal past that includes a 2007 conviction for misdemeanor battery of that girlfriend. Huge new plane lands at O'Hare

Private suites, lie-flat beds, a lounge, showers, free Wi-Fi and a 261-foot wing span glided into O'Hare International Airport yesterday. The world's largest commercial airplane, the Airbus A380, arrived at Terminal 5, berthing at a gate which received $5 million in modifications to accommodate the behemoth. Full story.

Man dies after driving under semitrailer truck in Wadsworth

A Wisconsin man died Monday after he drove his Chevrolet Malibu under a semitrailer truck in Wadsworth, authorities said yesterday. The 54-year-old man from Hales Corners, Wisconsin, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Saint Catherine's Medical Center in Kenosha. The truck driver was not injured. Full story.
