Pet microchipping Saturday in North Chicago

The City of North Chicago is hosting a free pet microchip clinic, 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 23 behind the North Chicago Community Center, 1730 Lewis Ave. It is open to all Lake County residents. A limited quantity of free microchips as well as parvo/distemper shots, flea and tick medicine, collars and leashes and other community resources will be available at no cost to pet owners. The event is made possible through sponsorships from several organizations. In addition, the city also has received many individual donations of food, water and supplies.
