Thanks for making GreenFest a success

The Aurora GreenFest Committee thanks everyone who made our seventh annual GreenFest such a great success.

We thank all of our wonderful sponsors, especially the Dunham Fund, for your support. Other major sponsors include The Conservation Foundation, the City of Aurora, Allegra Print-Marketing-Web, The Voice Newspaper, the Polit IP Law Group, Ltd., Fox Valley Park District, Inner Harmony Acupuncture, Hix Brothers Music, Aurora Township, Fox Metro Water Reclamation District, Gerald Nissan Subaru, ComEd, Peculiar Pickle Design, Dart Container, and a long list of other contributors. Our sponsors support a better quality of life in the Fox Valley through education and inspiration for building a more sustainable, resilient, and thriving community.

We want to thank our 50-plus volunteers, especially from Aurora Kiwanis, who created a pop-up army to make the day happen. You carried for our vendors, directed traffic in the parking lot, handed out bags and maps, put up tents, took down tents, smiled and laughed and did everything and anything that was needed to make everything run smoothly. Our musicians were fantastic volunteers, too.

We had more than 140 exhibitors showing off the community supported agriculture, clean energy, green cars, and nature exhibits that make the GreenFest something to come back to year after year, because it's always different, and always a little bit the same. Thank you for bringing your talents and passions to to share at the GreenFest.

Most of all, we want to thank the people of the Fox Valley who came out in droves on a very hot day to have fun and learn at the same time. We hope you took away new ideas to use in your everyday life to make the world a greener, healthier, and happier place to live.

Remember to save the date, June 10, 2017, the eighth annual Aurora GreenFest.
