Trustmark names Schmid tegional sales vice president

Daniel J. Schmid, 52, joined Lake Forest-based Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions as Regional Sales Vice President for its Western Region. Schmid was hired to develop broker distribution, strategy and sales in the Western half of the country for the voluntary benefits provider. Schmid's office is located in Danville, Calif.

"I am excited to have Dan Schmid join our top notch sales team. With his experienced sales leadership and his contacts in the industry, he will help Trustmark to continue to grow and prosper," said Johnson.

Schmid has more than 30 years of sales experience in the insurance industry, most recently as Vice President - Market Leader Western U.S. for Sun Life Financial. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
