Fitness For America Sports Festival in Hoffman Estates July 23
The 2016 Fitness For America Sports Festival will be held in Hoffman Estates on Saturday, July 23.
The eighth annual FFASF, hosted by the Village of Hoffman Estates in partnership with the Hoffman Estates Park District and sponsored by AMITA Health, will include inline skating and running events for all fitness levels and several other features, including a GLO Run after dark.
The Chicagoland Inline Marathon, the second largest event of its kind in the country, takes place that morning with a half marathon and 7K.
Runners can opt for a 5K, 10K, or half marathon, choosing the challenge that matches their fitness level. Walkers are welcome at the 5K.
On Saturday night, participants of all ages and abilities can go for a Glo-Run! This non-timed, recreational, '80s-themed run/walk for the whole family kicks off at 9:15 p.m. and ends with a DJ dance party.
