Explore Prospect Heights parks on scavenger hunt

The Prospect Heights Park District is celebrating its 50th anniversary in July with a Family Parks Scavenger Hunt.

Trivia Facts are hidden at Prospect Heights parks, Gary Morava Recreation Center and Old Orchard Country Club. Pick up your "Celebrating 50 in the Parks" passport to start the fun. Fifty trivia facts are hidden.

The passport will require you to visit the parks, Gary Morava Recreation Center and Old Orchard Country Club, find the trivia fact and write down the answer on your passport.

Once the passport is complete, return it back to the front desk at the Gary Morava Recreation Center. Prizes will be awarded to all participants.

This event is a great way for individuals or families to get outdoors and explore all of the Prospect Heights Park District's parks and facilities. No purchase is necessary. The event will run through July 31.

Register at the Gary Morava Recreation Center, 110 W. Camp McDonald Road. For information, call (847) 394-2848 or visit phparks.org.
