Centor North America to move HQ to Aurora
AURORA - Transwestern recently represented Centor North America Inc. in a 62,662-square-foot headquarters lease at 966 Corporate Blvd., a 238,604-square-foot warehouse in Aurora.
Centor, a manufacturer of the world's first integrated door, as well as folding doors, hardware and screen/blind systems, plans to relocate to the new facility from its current headquarters in Batavia on Oct. 1.
Completed in 2015, 966 Corporate Blvd. is LEED-certified and includes 32-foot ceilings, seven exterior docks, one drive-in door and 41 trailer stalls. Centor will use tenant improvement funds secured by Transwestern to complete the build out of its space, which includes a state-of-the-art showroom and corporate offices.
Transwestern principals Michael Marconi and Justin Lerner and Senior Director Joe Karmin represented the tenant in the transaction.
"With the Chicago-area industrial vacancy rate at its lowest level in nearly 15 years, strong demand for space - particularly in highly desirable submarkets like the Interstate 88 Corridor - is creating competition among users requiring at least 50,000 square feet," said Marconi. "Our extensive experience in the Aurora area allowed us to identify 966 Corporate Blvd. as a modern facility that was close enough to Centor's existing employee base and large enough to accommodate future growth while offering immediate access to the interstate."
