Toews to miss convention

Jonathan Toews, Artemi Panarin and Artem Anisimov will not be at the annual Blackhawks Convention this weekend at the Chicago Hilton.
The Hawks said Toews would not be attending because he had a prior commitment.
All of the team's other players are expected to attend the three-day event, which begins Friday when exhibit halls open at 3 p.m. Opening ceremonies start at 5 p.m.
Former Hawks expected to attend include Bobby Hull, Tony Esposito, Denis Savard, Steve Larmer, Pierre Pilote, Eddie Olczyk, Troy Murray, Cliff Koroll, Eric Daze, Murray Bannerman and Daniel Carcillo.
