Twenty-one white doves are released at the start of the Heroes Like Haley 5K run at CaryGrove Park in Cary Sunday. The event benefits cancer patients in the Cary area. It is named for Haley Lichter, a runner from Cary Grove High School who died of cancer and would have been 21 this year. Ryan Nikolich, of the Woodstock based White Dove Release brought the birds to the event.
