Hey, Hey: The Monkees' 50th anniversary tour coming to Genesee
Musicians Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork of The Monkees have reunited for a 50th anniversary concert tour that's coming to Waukegan's Genesee Theatre on Nov. 4.
The tour celebrates the 1966 TV series "The Monkees" and the band that grew out of it. Their hits included "Daydream Believer," "Last Train to Clarksville" and "I'm a Believer."
Dolenz and Tork perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Genesee. Michael Nesmith is not touring with his fellow surviving Monkees. Davy Jones died in 2012.
