Voting local is our only recourse
Let's face it folks, no matter which of the two presumptive candidates for president gets elected in November, they will not be the commander in chief. They will be the liar in chief.
Trump has lied about his donations to charities, about Muslims cheering as the towers came down, about his business acumen, about the ethical nature of things like Trump University. The list is long.
Hillary. Ahh, the emails. Nothing to see here. Just move along. There were, as it turns out (surprise, surprise), Top Secret and Classified emails. Cut to the chase, lots of lies there.
My favorite is The military coup in Honduras. Though the president was taken from his bed in his pj's and flown to U.S. friendly Costa Rico at gunpoint by military personnel, it was not a military coup. Since then, Honduras has become the murder capital of the world, where environmental activists, members of the LGBT community, labor activists, and many other people who would fall into the Democratic voting block in the U.S., are assassinated every day.
So HRC not only lies, she stunk as secretary of state. Same goes for Trump. So, what to do? It's a far cry from George Washington and "I shall not tell a lie".
Vote local! Be aware of local and state issues and vote local. That's the best way to impact YOUR community. Also, vote for the Fair Redistricting Act in Illinois. Instead of politicians choosing us, we can once again choose them.
Other than that, wake me up when it's over.
