50 single-family homes proposed north of Des Plaines
A developer is proposing construction of 50 single-family homes in an unincorporated area north of Des Plaines at 300 East River Road.
The homes would have three to four bedrooms, basements and attached garages, priced from the mid-$300,000s to mid-$400,000s.
Des Plaines aldermen this week weighed in on the concept plans for the 6.5-acre site that Dubin Consulting would seek to annex into the city. Many said the proposed lot sizes of 2,567 square feet to 5,249 square feet are too dense for Des Plaines, but some officials did express openness to annexation so the city could have control over future development of the site.
The developer said he would revise the plans and bring them back to the city.
