Author/actor Chris Colfer returns to Naperville

Best-selling author and television star Chris Colfer returns to Naperville this month to discuss his book "The Land of Stories 5: An Author's Odyssey."

This is Colfer's fourth stop at an Anderson's Bookshop event. A Golden Globe-winning actor best known for his role as Kurt Hummel on "Glee," Colfer also has been honored as a member of the 2011 TIME 100, Time Magazine's annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

He will present his new book, aimed at middle readers, at a signing event at 7 p.m. Friday, July 15, at Naperville North High School, 899 N. Mill St., Naperville. Tickets are required and available only at chriscolferandersons.brownpapertickets.com.

Colfer's new title is the fifth book in the No. 1 New York Times best-selling series for middle readers, The Land of Stories. In this installment, Conner learns that the only place to fight the Masked Man's literary army is inside his own short stories.

When the twins and their friends enter worlds crafted from Conner's imagination, finding allies no one else could have dreamed of, the race begins to put an end to the Masked Man's reign of terror. Can the twins finally restore peace in the fairy tale world?
