Northwestern Medicine opens Vernon Hills care center
Northwestern Medicine recently opened its new Vernon Hills Immediate Care Center at 870 N. Milwaukee Ave. The center is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week and requires no appointment. It is staffed by licensed physicians and emergency medical technicians trained to evaluate and treat medical conditions in adults and children over the age of 6 weeks. All patients are seen by a physician. The center also offers primary care and imaging services Monday through Saturday, starting at 8 a.m., and on-site breast imaging and mammography with tomosynthesis (3-D), computer tomography (CT), X-Ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) ultrasound and more. Major injuries and traumas should be directed to the full-service emergency room at Lake Forest Hospital. Free parking is available at the center.
